Several factors determine the total time and cost commitment for AI and automation solutions. These include project complexity and the tools involved. Data integrity is a critical factor; cleaning and organizing data is an essential step for a successful build. Additionally, some automations may have annual fees for ongoing maintenance and nominal costs for third-party subscriptions. Below are examples of tools we build and their potential cost. Strategy, Design, & AI Readiness

Organizational Assessment for AI Readiness

Description

A structured conversation with key staff designed to identify if and how automation and AI could benefit your organization. Includes a detailed written report and presentation with recommendations and opportunities. 

Estimated Investment

$500 – $4,000+

Actual cost is dependent on size of organization, number of interviews required, and complexity of report. Cost will be agreed-upon prior to beginning the engagement.

Custom AI Chatbot

Description

Chatbots are built on a knowledge base that can include a wide variety of information. It can include specific content such as  HR policies and procedures. Alternatively, it could provide hundreds or thousands of resources to staff or community members. These tools can answer repetitive internal questions or provide information and resources directly to those you serve.

$1,000 – $5,000

Cost is driven by the time required to organize the knowledge base. Data integrity is the greatest variable; larger projects with significant data issues may exceed this range. This estimate reflects your initial costs to design and implement the chatbot. There may be nominal costs on an annual basis for maintenance and chatbot hosting.
Executive Data Dashboard

Description

A dashboard aggregates data from sources including finance, fund development, service delivery, HR, and other sources into an easy-to-understand visual presentation. Dashboards can provide recent or real-time insights for leadership and board members.

$500 – $2,500+

Final investment is determined by project complexity, the number of data sources, and the requirements for streamlining data to the dashboard. Typically, a one time investment unless ongoing maintenance is needed.

Inventory Tracking Tool

Description

A low-code solution ideal for tracking donations of food, technology, medical equipment or other items in real-time. Designed for organizations with multiple staff members receiving donations and or distributing items.

Costs vary based on the specific structure of the tool and the complexity of your organization’s distribution workflow. Estimate includes your cost to design, implement, and train staff. There may be additional costs for ongoing maintenance and a nominal annual fee to cover a subscription to Zapier or related tool.
